The Cromptons Red Patient-Specific Ultra-Glide Flat Slide Sheets with Handles (Pack of 4) have been specially designed to ensure that the handling of bedbound patients is practiced safely and efficiently. The handles that run along the sides of each slide sheet provide added grip for the carer with each patient manoeuvre.

Low-Friction Fabric

The Cromptons Ultra-Glide Flat Slide Sheets with Handles are designed using a specially engineered fabric called Transtex. This fabric is coated with silicone that helps to reduce friction, enabling easier patient mobility and thus, safer patient handling.

Added Patient Security

With handles that run along three sides of each Ultra-Glide Slide Sheet, this pack ensures the safe handling of patients. Attached via a flag style stitch pattern, the handles offer better patient control while moving, providing the carer with improved grip for each manoeuvre. The handles which run along the shorter side of each sheet provide added support for the patient's head during repositioning.

Maintenance For the Ultra-Glide Slide Sheets

The Cromptons Patient-Specific Ultra-Glide Slide Sheets are intended for use by one patient during their stay in hospital. The sheets should be discarded after that patient has no further use for them. However, lightly soiled sheets can be wiped clean using a sterilisation liquid.

Please note that this product is not suitable for patient lifting. Any patient manoeuvres that are conducted while using this product should be done so without lifting.

What Does The Red Colour Mean?

The colour of the sheets serves more than just an aesthetic purpose. The red colour of these sheets means they are for single patient use. The Cromptons collection of slide sheets comes in a variety of different colours:

  • Red: for single patient use. This means they can be re-used by a single person over a couple of months, but can't be laundered.
  • Blue: reusable for multiple patients. The blue sheets are designed to last over the course of a couple of years, and the are designed to be washable.
  • Lilac: for bariatric patients. Available in larger sizes and specifically designed for use with bariatric patients. These sheets could be for single or multi-use, check listings for more details.

How Can I Effectively Store The Bed Sheet for Each Patient?

You can store the bed sheet using the Cromptons Slide Sheet Storage Bag for Care Homes, designed with space for you to add patient details to the front of the bag, and a drawstring for easy opening and closing.

What If My Patient Only Needs a Small Amount of Repositioning?

For small turning and positioning tasks, as well as help with dressing and skin smoothing, the Cromptons Slide Sheet Gloves for Patient Handling are perfect. Designed with a smooth material to provide comfort for the patient, it provides a smaller-scale level of repositioning.
