Which Conditions Can the Dressing Be Used For?
The Siltec Sacrum Sorbact Dressing is designed specifically for use with sacrum pressure ulcers. It is suitable wounds with moderate to high exudate that meet the following:
- Shallow Pressure Ulcers: The dressing can be used as the primary dressing for shallow uncers that are contaminated, colonised, or infected
- Deep Pressure Ulcers: As the dressing features a wide border for adherence, it can be used as a secondary dressing for deeper pressure ulcers

How Absorbent Is the Dressing?
The Cutimed Siltec Sorbact dressing is designed to absorb moderate to high levels of exudite. This helps to protect the wound during healing as the highly absorbent material retains exudate even under comression. The fast absorption also helps to prevent maceration.
How Does the Sorbact Layer Reduce Infection?
The sacrum dressing features a Sorbant wound contact layer that binds bacteria and fungi to the dressing. This reduces microbial presence to help begin the healing process.
