How Do I Use the Evac+Chair 110 Narrow Staircase Evacuation Chair?
One person can easily operate this chair to evacuate a single patient (up to 150kg in weight) down stairs. Secure the patient using the two straps, and keep a firm hold of the handle at the rear of the chair. Tilt the chair back, and push confidently until the friction track is making contact with the two top stairs. Then, the braking friction track will make contact with each successive stair, slowing the descent of the chair to prevent the need for excessive force to be used by the operator.
Slimmest Chair in the Evac+Chair Range
For those looking for the most compact and easily-manoeuvrable evacuation chair, the Evac+Chair 110 is the standout choice. The slim design makes it the easiest to use as well as the most compact during storage, making it ideal for small space in general, as well as the crucial narrow staircase descents.
Slim frame makes it the best option for small or restricted spaces
Unique Friction Belt for Smooth Descent
The friction belt system separates this chair from other lightweight single-user chairs, as it actually provides a constant braking mechanism that will guide the chair down stairs for a smooth traversal. It will stay in contact contact with the stairs as you move, helping to compensate for those with less strength than others. This allows the user to guide the direction of the chair, rather than having to hold the entire weight at any point.
Two Straps and Foot Grip for Patient Safety
To accommodate patients with severe injuries or lower levels of motor control, the chair features two straps: a safety belt and an integrated head rest strap. This will keep the patient upright in the correct position, while ensuring the weight load maintains in a stable and consistent position for easier manoeuvring. The foldable footrest also allows the patient to secure themselves during the descent for even more stability and peace of mind.
The patient can secure themselves with the foldable footrest during the descent
Redesigned Hammock
The hammock seat has been improved from previous designs, making it more comfortable for the patient, as well as more compact when stored away. The material used in the hammock and headrest are both comfortable and hard-wearing, ensuring they will be ready for effective evacuations when needed.
