The Flexicare Four-Way Top Sliding Sheet with Handles (180cm x 200cm) is a sliding aid for use with the Flexicare Double Bed Base Sheet, and can help patients turn onto their side, shift or swivel in the bed, or sit up. Its extended size is made to fit double beds, but it can also be useful when lifting larger patients who weight between 200 - 300kg.

Who Can Benefit from the Flexicare Top Sliding Sheet?
The Flexicare top sheet is made to be placed on the slippery surface of the Flexicare base sheet to assist patients who are unable to turn or adjust themselves when lying in bed. Due to its larger size, it can be used on double beds, or to aid larger patients.

Enables Multi-Directional Movement
This top sheet allows movement in a range of directions so all patient adjustments can be made in a safe and dignified way. By manipulating the top sheet and sliding it over the base sheet, carers can move the patient sideways, up and down, swivel them, turn them or lift them into a sitting position.

This top sheet can be used as part of the Flexicare In-Bed Management System either by a single carer, multiple carers and with a hoist to adjust patients who are unable to move in bed. How Does the Four-Way Top Sheet Protect Carers?
The Four-Way Top Sheet can help protect carers from injury during in-bed patient manoeuvres as it takes away the need for heavy lifting. The sheet can be used to pull or turn the patient more easily, and can also be hooked to a hoist for more substantial movements.
Suitable for Use with Lifting Hoists
For significant repositioning of the patient, the handles of the Flexicare Top Sheet can be attached to a patient lifting hoist. By raising one side of the sheet, the hoist can then ease the patient gently onto their side so the carer does not have to lift the patient themselves.

How Comfortable Is the Standard Flexicare Top Sheet?
For maximum convenience, the patient can lie on top of the top sheet indefinitely so repositioning can be carried out at a moment's notice. To ensure the sheet is therefore as comfortable and safe as possible, it has been made from breathable, fire-retardant cotton and has a padded, quilted surface.
How Does the Four-Way Base Sheet Protect Patients?
The base sheet is large enough to accommodate most standard single beds, and ensures the patient's entire body can be positioned in one fluid movement, protecting their head and neck from injury. The base sheet also has a partially convertible central panel which can be secured on either side depending on how much traction is required, thus preventing the patient from falling out of bed once manoeuvres are completed.
