Forearm Platforms for the Drive Medical Walking Frames
If you've previously purchased a Drive Medical Walking Frame for your hospital, you probably know how effective it is as a mobility aid. However, if some of your patients have limited dexterity in their hands, they might find grasping the support's hand grips difficult. The Forearm Platforms have been designed to bear your patient's weight through their forearms, which puts less pressure on their hands.

Comfortable Support
These Forearm Platforms armrests have been designed with padding. This not only makes them highly comfortable, but it also helps disperse your patient's weight between their arms and legs while they walk. Its Velcro straps can also be wrapped around the forearms for additional safety and security.
How Do Patients Use this Aid?
To use the Forearm Platforms, please complete the following actions:
- Undo the Velcro strap and place your patient's forearm on the platform and their hand around the hand grip.
- Repeat for the other arm.
- Adjust the height, position and angle of the hand grip to suit them.
- Refasten the Velcro strap to secure their arms in the frame, ensuring the straps aren't uncomfortably tight but still secure.

Once attached, each Forearm Platform will add approximately 15cm of height to your walking frame.
