The Handicare ThoraxSling with Seat for MiniLift Patient Lifter includes a comfortable support seat that reduces fatigue and chafing, as well as arm holders designed for those with partial paralysis. Made of a soft but durable, machine-washable polyester, it helps make the lives of carers easier too.
Please note: this Polyester Thorax Lifting Sling is intended for use with the Handicare MiniLift 160 or Handicare MiniLift 200, which are both not included.

The Handicare ThoraSling isn't a barebones sling simply for lifting. Instead, it includes a seated support, making sure the lifting process is as comfortable and painless as possible. This also allows carers to lift patients as slow as needed without causing chafing or discomfort.

What Is the Safe Working Load of the Handicare Patient Lifting Sling?
The safe working load of the Handicare Patient Lifting Sling for the MiniLift is 300kg, making it suitable for the vast majority of patients. However, please refer to the sizing table above to find the best fit for your patients.
Arm Holders for Added Support
For patients with partial paralysis or conditions like hemiplegia, the lifting process could result in their arms hanging awkwardly or uncomfortably. To resolve this, this Handicare Lifting Vest includes arm slings to comfortably suspend the arms of a patient while they're being lifted.
Machine-Washable for Easy Cleaning
The Polyester Thorax Sling is machine-washable for convenience. Detailed washing instructions are provided with the sling, but here are a few things to keep in mind:
- Machine wash at temperatures between 60 - 85°C
- Hang dry or tumble dry on low to ensure maximum lifespan
- Do not iron
- Do not use rinsing agent
- Do not dry clean
- Do not bleach
Prefer a Sling That's Wipe Clean?
The polyester material is great because it's durable, easy-clean in a washing machine and has a high max user weight of 300kg, making it suitable for most patients. However, if you would prefer a sling that's wipe-clean using disinfectant sprays, the ThoraxSling Wipeable Lifting Sling is also available. Please note, this Wipeable model has a lower max user weight of 200kg.
