What Is the Life/Form Infant IV Training Arm?
The Life/Form Infant IV Training Arm is a quality training aid for practising and demonstrating intravenous puncture of a newborn. The arm model has been crafted from a unique material that simulates the skin of a newborn in order to allow for realistic practise of infant venipuncture.
How Realistic Is This Infant IV Simulator?
The Life/Form Baby Infant Training Arm includes thin synthetic skin and rubber tubing with a small lumen and thin walls to accurately reproduce the experience of performing IV injections on an infant. The cephalic and basilic veins are accessible with the Baby IV Arm along with the dorsal venous arch on the hand.
Long-lasting Model
This training simulator has been designed to provide the greatest possible durability and lowest maintenance while not compromising the realism of use. The model can be used for repeated IV injection practise, making it great for long-term use.
Puncturing of Skin and Veins
This Infant IV Training Arm comes with all the needles required to puncture the skin of the model. It is always recommended that the 22-gauge needle (included) or smaller needles be used on the model rather than larger needles, as these can cause small cuts or slits that may eventually lead to deterioration of the model. It is also advised to always use sharp needles, as dull or bent needles cause excessive tearing.
