The Flexicare Four-Way Single Bed Base Sliding Sheet (90cm x 200cm) is the bottom component of the Flexicare sliding aid system designed to aid patients who have limited mobility to move and turn in bed. The base sheet sits between the mattress and the top sheet, providing a slippery surface for the top sheet to slide over, so carers can shift or swivel patients, turn them or assist them to sit up.

Intended specifically for patients who require continuous support, the Flexicare Base sheet can be used alongside a top sheet to help patients move in bed. As it enables safe and comfortable movement in all directions, it can be used to turn patients or readjust them so they don't develop bed sores from lying in the same position for too long, and can also be used to help them sit up whenever necessary.

How Does the Four-Way Base Sheet Protect Patients?

The base sheet also has a partially convertible central panel which can be secured on one side during some manoeuvres, then tucked back for others, so patients don't fall out of bed. As the sheet eliminates the need for direct contact from the carer, it also makes the process more comfortable and dignified for all parties.
