Open-Toe Eco Canvas Cast Shoe
The Open-Toe Eco Canvas Cast Shoe offers stability in protection when you need to walk with a cast or bandages on your feet. The tri-level ribbed rocker sole helps to absorb shocks and assist with normal gait, with an open-toe design for comfort and hook-and-loop closures for a secure fit.
What's Included?
As operations are often conducted on one foot only, or one at a time, this shoe is provided as an individual. It can be worn on either foot, so if you do require one for each foot then you can add two shoes to your basket.
Who Can Wear the Canvas Shoe?
The Eco Canvas Cast Shoe is designed for individuals with the following conditions:
- Cast on the foot or ankle area
- Bandages on the foot following injury or operation
- Patients with venous or lymphatic leg bandaging
As the Canvas Cast Shoe is also latex free, it is a suitable alternative for individuals with latex allergies who may not be able to use similar cast shoes.
Which Size Do I Need?
The Eco Canvas Cast Shoe is available in a variety of sizes based on the length of the shoe. Please see the table below for details, then select the size that best matches the length of your foot from the drop-down menu at the top of the page. If there are bandages or casting over your toes, please make sure to take this into consideration if you are measuring before your operation.

Can I Wear the Cast Shoe On Either Foot?
Yes, the Canvas Cast Shoe can be worn on either foot. The universal design means you can wear it on either your left or your right foot as required, ideal for individuals who have operations scheduled on both feet at different times.
For clinics and medical centres looking to provide patients with cast shoes, the universal design reduces the need to hold stock of shoes for either foot. This helps to keep costs down and reduces the space required for storage.
What Is the Benefit of an Open-Toe Design?
Where as normal closed-toe shoes curve or taper at the toe area, the open-toe design of the Eco Canvas Cast Shoe ensures that the shoe is not too tight or restrictive around the toes. It also allows air to circulate around the foot, ensuring you can feel as fresh and comfortable as possible.
What Is the Benefit of the Rocker Sole?
The Eco Canvas Cast Shoe features a tri-level ribbed rocker sole with a non-slip design to improve safety while you walk. The sole also offers shock absorption to prevent discomfort, while also assisting with normal gait to help with posture.
How Do I Protect My Toes?
If your cast or bandage does not cover the toe area of your foot, you may wish to wear a sock to prevent your toes from becoming cold or dirty. The sock should not be too tight or restrictive though.
How Secure Is the Canvas Shoe?
The post-op shoe is secured in place with hook-and-loop straps. The three straps fasten as tightly as you need them to prevent the shoe from slipping off, allowing you to walk about as required without worrying about your bandages or cast coming into contact with the ground.
Is the Canvas Shoe Latex Free?
Yes, the Open-Toe Canvas Shoe is free from latex. This makes it ideal for individual with a latex allergy, reducing the risk of allergic reactions and improving comfort.
What Colour Is the Post-Op Shoe?
The shoe is provided in a blue colour. If you would prefer something in a different colour, please see our post-operative footwear category for a selection of other types of cast shoes.
