Replacement Reusable Gel Electrode Pads

The TensCare Mynd Electrode Pads are an essential component of the TensCare Mynd Migraine Relief Machine, required to achieve successful treatment and prevention of migraine/headache pain. Users can simply place these self-adhesive electrode pads onto the device which can then be stuck onto the forehead to quickly reduce migraine pain.

How Do I Apply the Pads?

Before applying the TensCare electrode pads, be sure to wash the skin with warm soapy water to remove any dirt, oil or creams that may be present on the skin, as the presence of oils and debris can degrade electrode pads and cause problems with adhesion. Do not use make-up removal products to clean your forehead as these leave a greasy film on the skin.

For application of the pads please follow the instructions below:

1. For first use, remove one of the gel pads from its foil packaging
2. Remove the blue liner from the gel pads and apply to the rear of the device
3. Remove the clear plastic liner from the device. Be careful to ensure the gel pads remain stuck to the device
4. Place the clear plastic liner in the travel case. The blue liner can be disposed of
5. Place the device in the centre of your forehead, roughly 1 cm above the eyebrows

Storage Advice

The electrode pads are water-based and may dry out if left unopened. Please ensure that the pads are kept sealed until they are ready for usage with the unit. The storage life of an unopened pack of gel pads is 2 years, however this may be affected by very high temperatures or very low humidity.

What Can Be Done If the Electrode Pads Do Dry Out?

Should an electrode pad become dry, either spray the gel side with a fine mist of water, or apply a drop of water to the gel side and spread around with fingertip. Leave the electrode for about 10 minutes until it recovers its tackiness.

How Many Times Can These Tens Migraine Machine Pads Be Used?

The life of an electrode pad can vary depending on skin type, storage and skin preparation, however generally each pad can be used up to 3 -5 times before needing replacing. Once tackiness is lost and no longer recoverable users should replace the electrode pads.
