The Polyflex II Solid White 1.6mm Splinting Material 31 x 46cm (Case of 4) is a coated latex-free splinting material with moderate resistance to stretch. At 1.6mm, this version of the material is half the thickness of traditional splints, making it ideal for scenarios where a lightweight material is required, such as in paediatrics and oncology.

What Size Is the Splinting Material?

The Roylan Splinting Material measures 31 x 46cm, allowing you to cut it to the required size. It features a thickness of 1.6mm.

Who Can Use the Polyflex II Splinting Material?

The Polyflex II Splinting Material has a number of clinical recommendations, including:

Optimum Combination

The Polyflex II Splinting Material has the optimum combination of resistance to stretch and good conformability and drape, making it suitable for a variety of purposes. Shaping easily for a well-contoured splint, this material has flexibility when set, easing application and removal, and accommodating tonal fluctuations and changes in oedema.

  • Flexible when cured allowing the splint to accommodate tonal and postural fluctuations

Bonding of the Polyflex II Solid White Splinting Material

The Polyflex II Splinting Material should be heated for 35 seconds in 70 - 75°C water, giving 1 - 2 minutes of working time.

  • For a temporary bond, pinch heated surfaces together
  • For a permanent bond, remove the coating with spirits or by safely scraping with a sharp instrument

Delivery Expectations

This product is usually delivered by 24 hour courier. For orders that are placed before 2pm Monday to Friday, your order should usually be dispatched the same day for next working day delivery.

Delivery is free for orders over £65 (ex VAT) to UK mainland addresses. For all other UK orders, delivery is only £4.95 (ex VAT).
