Fantastic Durability
All the seams of the SpaceKraft Sensory Room Bean Bag are double-stitched, providing fantastic longevity and resistance to wear-and-tear. This further increases the naturally resilient nature of the PVC-reinforced nylon by strengthening the area that has traditionally been weakest, the seam.
Improves Posture
Bean bag chairs are especially helpful for helping to positioning kids with limited mobility function in a way that reduces back and muscle pain. Children who cannot hold themselves upright in a standard chair can get the right support from an upright bean bag chair, which can be a source of great relief.
Provides Proprioceptive Input
Many people with sensory processing disorders struggle with body awareness, and using a bean bag as a chair can be a fantastic way to get the proprioceptive input they need. Different body positions can help put deep pressure input on muscles and joints in a way that is safe, but also relaxing and enjoyable for people with tactile hyposensitivity.
Improves Muscle Tone
Poor muscle tone is typical for children with autism, and pushing against the mass of the chair for the sensory experience also acts as a form of exercise to keep muscles healthy. This is a great way to encourage physical health in a way that's enjoyable for people with sensory processing disorders, who often find sports to be difficult and frustrating.
Extremely Comfortable
The flexibility of bean bags is a great feature for children with autism or sensory processing issues, as they can mould the shape of the beanbag to their requirements. A lot of autistic children find it uncomfortable to sit in a normal chair, bean bags can remove this stress and pain this causes by shaping the bag to the child’s body, providing relief from pressure points that become sore while using traditional chairs.
Zip Allows Easy Access to Internal Liner
The bean bag includes an internal liner to hold all of the beans in place and to facilitate easy refilling. Accessing the liner and beads is simple and can be done by using the zip at the back of the beanbag.
Simple to Keep Hygienic
The nylon-reinforced vinyl material that covers the outside of the bean bag makes it easy to keep this product clean and hygienic. Simply wipe clean using a mild detergent and a damp cloth for the best results.
