Sizing Information for the SOVA Child's Night Guard The SOVA Junior Night Guard is supplied in one universal size that should the fit the mouths of most children between the ages of six and eleven. The guard is specially designed to mould to your child's unique mouth shape, so they can get the custom-fit that they need.
Who Can Use the SOVA Night Guard? This Night Guard is specially designed for children who grind their teeth at night whilst they sleep. The guard creates a barrier between your top and bottom teeth, providing you with relief against bruxism throughout the night, so you can sleep easy.
Fitting Instructions for the SOVA Junior Night Guard Before you go about fitting your child's Teeth Grinding Guard, it is vital that you watch the short and sweet fitting guidance video below in full. Whilst this instructional video uses the adult version of the SOVA Mouth Guard, the steps and procedure for fitting and shaping are exactly the same:

Once you've watched the video above, you will need a bowl of hot water (roughly 76°C), a fork or skewer and a mirror. Now you're ready to begin fitting your Sova Night Guard, please follow the instructions below:
Step One: Wash your hands and the mouthguard in soap and water.
Step Two: Fill your bowl with water and heat until the water is hot to touch (roughly 76°C).
Step Three: Submerge the guard into the hot water and leave until it feels soft and flexible. (You can use your fork to test the guard's softness).
Step Four: Once the guard is soft, remove it from the water using your fork or similar utensil, making sure that the sides of the mouthguard do not fold in on themselves.
Step Five: Balancing the guard on your thumbs, insert the guard into your mouth and bite down on the bar in the centre of the guard. Push your tongue against the guard to hold it in place.
Step Six: Using your mirror for guidance, push your fingers up against the guard to mould it in place, starting from the back of your mouth.
Step Seven: Close your mouth over the surface of the guard and suck in air through your lips. This will allow the guard to harden, providing you with the perfect custom-fit.

Cleaning the Guard To keep the mouthguard clean after use, wash with soap and hot water or a non-whitening toothpaste, then rinse and leave to air dry.
