Who Can Use the Face Masks?
When used with the Resuscitation Bag, the Spare Face Masks are ideal for medical professionals and anybody trained in resuscitation. As you can attach a face mask to the Resus Bag as soon as one has been used and discarded, you can ensure that you always have a spare face mask ready to go in cases of emergency.
What Are the Spare Face Masks Made From?
The Spare Face Masks are made from a transparent soft vinyl. The transparent material makes it easier to see the patient's lips during resuscitation, which helps with monitoring any changes in lip colour. Each mask also features an air cushion to improve patient comfort during use.
Are the Spare Masks Latex Free?
Yes, the Spare Masks are latex free. This latex-free mask design helps to improve both comfort and safety during use.
Who Can Benefit from the Hook Ring?
Each single-use Timesco Spare Face Mask includes a four-hook ring, which is designed for securing a head strap in place. This is particularly useful if only one person is present as using a head strap will help to keep the mask in place where there is nobody else around to hold it against the patient's face.
The hook rings are removable for hand-held procedures. Please note that head straps are not included, and must be purchased separately.
To Which Standards Do the Spare Masks Conform?
The Spare Face Masks conform to several ISO standards, providing peace of mind. The following ISO standards apply:
- ISO 10651 Lung ventilators for medical use – Particular requirements for basic safety and essential performance – Part 2: Home care ventilators for ventilator-dependent patients
- ISO 5356-1 Anaesthetic and respiratory equipment – Conical connectors – Part 1: Cones and sockets
