Timesco C19 Durable Fingertip Pulse Oximeter
The Timesco C19 Durable Fingertip Pulse Oximeter is designed for monitoring the SpO2 and pulse rate in adult patients and paediatrics aged two years and above. The one-colour LED display makes reading results easy, while the 30 hours of continuous use and low power consumption improves efficacy in busy medical environments.
What's Included?
- 1 x C19 Fingertip Pulse Oximeter
- 1 x Protective Rubber Boot
- 1 x Lanyard
- 2 x AAA Batteries
How Does the Fingertip Pulse Oximeter Work?
The Fingertip Pulse Oximeter is positioned on the end of the patient's finger. Once the power is turned on, it measures the patient's SpO2, or oxygen saturation, as well as the pulse rate. This information is displayed in clear numbers on the LED display.
Who Can Use the Fingertip Pulse Oximeter?
The C19 Fingertip Pulse Oximeter is designed for use with both adult and paediatric patients aged two years and above. The compact size makes it ideal for doctors who travel between clinics or who work on call, ensuring patients can be assessed without the need for any bulky equipment.
As the Fingertip Pulse Oximeter is operated simply with the touch of a button, it is also suitable for individuals wishing to monitor their own oxygen saturation levels and pulse rate at home. This is particularly useful if a patient has been asked to monitor their own pulse rate over a set period of time in between GP visits.
How Easy to Use Is the C19 Oximeter?
With a simple operation and clear display, the C19 Pulse Oximeter provides a simple yet effective way of obtaining information about a patient's SpO2 levels and pulse rate. In addition to the one-colour clear LED numbers, the screen also features a pulse bar for a visual representation of the heartbeat.
What Do the Numbers Mean?
The C19 Pulse Oximeter displays two key numbers: the Sp02 level and the pulse rate. The pulse rate is indicated by a small symbol of a heart, which is positioned beside the pulse bar. The SpO2, or oxygen saturation, is also displayed.
As a normal resting heart rate will differ depending on factors including health and lifestyle, it is best to ask a doctor about what your own pulse rate should be. However, generally speaking, a normal resting heart rate is around 60 to 100 beats per minute (bpm). Normal blood oxygen saturation level is typically around 95% to 100%.
How Long Does Do Fully Charged Batteries Last?
The C19 Fingertip Pulse Oximeter is provided with 2 x AAA batteries, which, when fully charged, provide up to 30 hours of continuous use. This is particularly suitable for use in busy medical environments where it's important to ensure that equipment is ready to go should the next patient require it.
The oximeter also features a low power consumption, with an auto power-down function to automatically turn off the device when not in use, further helping to save the batteries. There is a low power indicator on the screen to ensure that you can charge the oximeter in plenty of time before the batteries fully deplete.
