The UltraKnit Smart Sheets FR Polyester Top Bed Sheet (Single) can be used in two ways and offers a unique design that can particularly benefit bed bound users in hospital and/or care home beds. Extra fabric on the width of the sheet allows for the creation of a toe pleat design, increasing space for feet movement and thereby preventing the development of pressure sores. This product is also available for a double bed.

The UltraKnit Flame-Retardant Top Flat Bed Sheet forms part of the UltraKnit Flame-Retardant Bedding Range and is designed to be laid or fitted on top of a single bed. The sheet promises user comfort and safety making it ideal for hospital and care home beds, but can also be used for general beds at home.

Unique Toe Pleat Design

UltraKnit top bed sheets feature two fitted corners at the base with extra fabric on the width to create a unique toe pleat. This design assists in the prevention of pressure sores in users by increasing space for feet for movement whilst also giving excellent comfort and warmth.

How To Fit This Semi-Fitted Sheet

For versatility, the UltraKnit top bed sheet can be used in two ways:

• Open Fit: The top sheet can be left open by folding the sheet back on itself at the bottom of the bed leaving the sheet totally open with easy access to the feet for the staff e.g. in podiatry or orthopaedics or surgery units and in longer term facilities particularly for patients with dementia.
• Tucked in for a closed bed: The top sheet can be tucked in for patients who prefer it that way or staff wish to make the bed by neatly tucking in. The sheet has extra fabric at the bottom which acts as a "toe pleat" giving plenty room for the feet to move around even when tucked in.

Delivery Expectations

This product is usually delivered by 24 hour courier. For orders that are placed before 2pm Monday to Friday, your order should usually be dispatched the same day for next working day delivery.

Delivery is free for orders over £65 (ex VAT) to UK mainland addresses. For all other UK orders, delivery is only £4.95 (ex VAT).

Delivery Charges

Some larger or heavier orders will be couriered to Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands or UK offshore islands. In these cases, we may need to contact you to arrange for a courier supplement charge, but only if your order is one that requires a courier and you live in Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands or UK offshore islands.
