Pain Relief in a Range of Situations

The Hot and Cold Pack's versatile design and properties make it ideal for a range of situations and environments. These include:

  • At-home first-aid kits
  • School and work first-aid kits
  • Sports teams
  • Hospitals
  • Doctors Surgeries
  • Medical Clinics

When Should I Use Cold Therapy?

Cold therapy works to reduce blood flow to the affected area in order to reduce inflammation. They're great for injuries such as sprains and strains, but should not be used to relieve muscle stiffness or if you suffer from poor circulation. The Vulkan Pain-Relief Pack also reduces nerve activity whilst in contact with the injury to minimise pain further.

To prepare the Vulkan Cooling Pack for use, simply place it in the freezer until ready.

When Should I Use Heat Therapy?

Heat therapy helps to soothe muscle aches, stiffness, cramps and tension. This works through encouraging blood flow to the affected area, which increases muscle flexibility and heals damaged tissue. It's also ideal for individuals with arthritis because it helps to reduce joint stiffness and increases pliability.

To get the Heat-Therapy Pack ready for use, simply put it in the microwave until it reaches the desired temperature. Then, place it in the protective sleeve and apply to the protected area. When using heat therapy, you should always aim for 'warm' instead of 'hot' to avoid any burns or serious discomfort.

Can I Easily Apply the Pack?

The Hot and Cold Pack can be either applied manually or used with the versatile Velcro strap. If using the strap, simply apply the pack to the effected area and wrap the strap around it. This allows for healing and pain-relief with minimal effort or assistance.

The Perfect First-Aid Kit Item

Whether at home, work or school, having everything you need in your first aid kit is essential for avoiding and treating injuries. With both hot and cold pain-relief properties, having the Vulkan Therapy Pack in your kit means you'll have space for other items and a versatile option for dealing with a range of smaller injuries and minimal pain.
