What Is the Function Of This Patient Hoist Sling?
The sling is designed for use with active patient hoists (sold separately), which are ideal for safe transfers and repositioning of patients with reduced, but not significantly impaired mobility. This hoist type functions well for patients who can play a more active role in their sit-to-stand transfer, and just need a bit of extra support.
To use this model, begin by comfortably positioning the patient into the sling, ensuring that it is secure and lined up with their body, and attach the sling to the hoist. Once this is done, move the hoist towards the patient, place their feet on the provided footplate, and securely attach the sling to the patient lift.
Who Can Use This Active Hoist Sling Attachment?
Ideal for use with active patient lift aids, this sling is designed to assist patients with reduced mobility from a seated to a standing position. It is perfect for use in home-care environments, particularly by sole carers who may not have the physical support they need for patient transfers and repositioning. The sling can also be used during clinical care for faster and simpler patient transportation and positioning.
