The Etac Immedia OneWayGlide Velour Tubular Positioning Pad (43 x 37cm) is made for patients that tend to slide forwards in their wheelchairs or chairs without meaning to. Featuring a specially designed and luxurious velour top, the cushioned pad stops the user sliding in the wrong direction while still remaining comfortable to sit on. This helps to prevent the development of shear and sores, which can be particularly painful for those in a wheelchair.

What Does the OneWayGlide Positioning Pad Do?
The Immedia Glide Cushion allows easy sliding in one direction, whilst resisting sliding in the other direction. The user stays in a correct seating position and stops accidental movement. This reduces shear and friction, which can cause sores and pressure injuries. There is also a risk of this when a patient is being manually handled by a carer and the OneWayGlide helps to prevent that as well.
Who Can Use the Immedia Glide Pad?
This product is suitable for preventing sliding forward while sitting as well as facilitating independent or assisted positioning back in a chair. It is ideal for use when the patient needs repositioning repeatedly, and can be used independently or with a carer. Please note that, due to the velour top, this pad must be used on a textile surface.
How Do I Use the OneWayGlide Cushion?
Using the Immedia OneWayGlide eases repositioning when the user slides forward in the wheelchair. To move backwards in the wheelchair, the user must lean forward, hold the armrest and push toward the backrest using their arms and legs. Once upright again, the unique design of the cushioned pad will prevent sliding again.

Cleaning Instructions
- This sheet set can be wiped clean with a cloth
- Machine wash at a maximum temperature of 80°C
- Can be cleaned with a solvent-free cleaning agent with a pH level between 5–9, or with a 70% disinfectant solution
- Do not dry-clean or bleach this item
- Do not use fabric softener
- After each wash the pad should be checked for damage to seems or fabric
