Available in Four Different Strengths
Green TheraBand Resistance Bands are classified as Heavy Resistance, as you can see from the table below. We also carry the Resistance Loops in the following strengths/colours:
What Do the Different Colours Represent?
The four different colours of TheraBand represent four different resistance levels. Please see the table below find out what strength each colour signifies.
Colour and Resistance | Resistance at 100% Elongation | Resistance Increase |
Yellow - Light | 1.3kg/3lb | - |
Red - Medium | 1.7kg/3.7lb | 25% |
Green - Heavy | 2.1kg/4.6lb | 25% |
Blue - Extra Heavy | 2.6kg/5.8lb | 25% |
What Does 100% Elongation Mean?
The strength classifications of TheraBand are graded by their resistance at 100% elongation. By 100% elongation, we mean when a length of band has been stretched to twice its original measurement. This applies to any length of measurement you cut from the roll. For example, if you cut a 100cm length of TheraBand, 100% elongation would be when the piece is stretched to 200cm.
Easily Track Progress with Different Band Colours
The colour-coded resistance spectrum makes it easy to track the progression of you or a client. The colours represent different resistance levels as seen above, so simply move up a colour level when an incremental increase is desired.
Need Even Higher or Lower Levels of Resistance?
These loops are really convenient and are supplied in four resistance levels to support most people. However, if you would prefer a higher or lower level or resistance, the Sheet Roll Model of TheraBand is available in eight different resistance levels.
What Can the Latex Resistance Bands Be Used For?
With four different resistance levels, a clear progression system, as well as a roll design that allows you to cut exactly how long a piece is needed, the TheraBand Resistance Bands are hugely versatile. They're great for a variety of scenarios including but not limited to:
- Increasing strength
- Increasing flexibility
- Toning
- Rehabilitation
- Physiotherapy
- Stretching before or after exercising
Fantastic for Rehab
The progression system of the TheraBands make them a natural choice for professional or home rehabilitation. It allows you to build your strength back gradually over time, even when recovering from a serious injury.
If you start with a lower resistance level like the Yellow (Light) Band and graduate up to this Green (Heavy) model, the chances of reinjury or aggravating your injury are much lower. Please note that we advise you to consult a professional before undertaking a treatment plan.

Take Bodyweight Exercise to the Next Level
Lifting heavy weights isn't for everyone and some people prefer bodyweight exercises, but other than simply raising the amount of reps, this can be limiting. Adding TheraBand Resistance Bands to bodyweight exercises can raise the difficulty, building your fitness and strength levels.
Tough, Natural Latex Build
These rolls of resistance bands are made of TheraBand's specially formulated natural latex. Not only is it naturally elastic, which is great for exercise, but it's also really durable and has a comfortable feel.
Prefer Non-Latex TheraBand Resistance Bands?
As we mentioned, latex is tough and flexible, but latex allergies are common, which can cause skin reactions. Luckily we also carry TheraBand's non-latex model of resistance bands.
Prefer a Roll of Resistance Bands?
These resistance loops are really convenient and are ready to use right out of the box. However, if you would prefer to cut your own lengths of TheraBand, we also carry 50 yard (45 metre) Dispenser Boxes of TheraBand.
They're a great option for physios and other healthcare professionals!
