The Alerta Pearl Overlay Alternating Air Mattress System features 5" air cells, so that comfort, as well as prevention and treatment of ulcers, is ensured. These air cells are powered by a pump that provides a constant alternating motion on a 12 minute cycle, ensuring that pressure is not placed on any one section of the patient's skin for too long.
