Cromptons Reusable Non-Coated Transfer Sheet (Pack of 10)

Handling and repositioning immobilised patients is an important part of proper care, but it can be difficult without the right equipment. The Cromptons Reusable Non-Coated Transfer Sheet (Pack of 10) has no silicone coating, making it the perfect solution for situations where you might want to use a less slippery sheet.

What's Included?

  • 10 x Cromptons Reusable Non-Coated Transfer Sheets

Key Features of the Reusable Non-Coated Transfer Sheet

  • Made from 120gsm reusable Non-Coated fabric
  • Ideal for operating theatre use, where a less slippery slide sheet is desirable
  • Suitable for hospital laundering
  • Can be used for emergency lifting
  • Latex-free for reduced irritation
  • CE approved for reliable quality
  • Supplied in a pack of 10

Who Can Use Non-Coated Transfer Sheets?

Cromptons Non-Coated Transfer Sheet is a full body length transfer sheet and features six ergonomically positioned handles. Since there is no silicone coating, this sheet is ideal for patient transfer in the operating theatre, where a less slippery slide sheet may be desirable. These sheets are recommended for the following industries:

  • Emergency care
  • Operating theatres
  • Hospitals
  • Ambulances
  • Care homes
  • Residential care
  • Disability care
  • Bariatric care

It is important to follow your local hospital patient handling guidelines, which are normally available from the Health and Safety department.

Suitable for Emergency Lifting

The transfer sheet may be used for emergency lifting only. When used for lifting, all six handles should be utilised. Non-Coated Transfer Sheets have a maximum patient weight capacity of 400kg when used for sliding, whereas in case of emergency lifting the maximum weight capacity is 200kg.

Maintenance of Reusable Non-Coated Sheets

Although Reusable Non-Coated Sheets have a maximum patient weight capacity of 400kg, wear and tear will progressively reduce weight capacity. It is advised that you always inspect your sheets prior to use for stitching and fabric degradation.

What Does The Blue Colour Mean?

The colour of the sheets serves more than just an aesthetic purpose. The blue colour of these sheets means they are reusable. The Cromptons collection of slide sheets comes in a variety of different colours:

  • Red: for single patient use. This means they can be re-used by a single person over a couple of months, but can't be laundered.
  • Blue: reusable for multiple patients. The blue sheets are designed to last over the course of a couple of years, and the are designed to be washable.
  • Lilac: for bariatric patients. Available in larger sizes and specifically designed for use with bariatric patients. These sheets could be for single or multi-use, check listings for more details.

Bulk Pack for Busy Hospitals

To ensure your hospital or care environment runs smoothly, this pack contains 10 slide sheets. This ensures your staff and patients always have access to repositioning even in times when multiple are either being used or laundered.

Laundering Instructions

To clean the transfer sheets, please follow standard hospital laundry guidelines HSG(95)18. Bleaching agents should be avoided and the maximum recommended washing temperature is 80°C. To dry, drip drying is recommended, although low temperature tumble dry may be used if necessary.

How Can I Effectively Store The Bed Sheet for Each Patient?

You can store the bed sheet using the Cromptons Slide Sheet Storage Bag for Care Homes, designed with space for you to add patient details to the front of the bag, and a drawstring for easy opening and closing.

What If My Patient Only Needs a Small Amount of Repositioning?

For small turning and positioning tasks, as well as help with dressing and skin smoothing, the Cromptons Slide Sheet Gloves for Patient Handling are perfect. Designed with a smooth material to provide comfort for the patient, it provides a smaller-scale level of repositioning.
