Safety Training for Using Diisocyanates

New UK REACH restrictions on diisocyanates require healthcare professionals who use synthetic splints and casts to undertake safety education training. These restrictions come into effect from the 24th August 2023. All organisations and healthcare providers with staff who handle and use these products must have documented records to show that they have undertaken training.

The recommendation on how the casting products should be handled has not changed. With this training, you will be made aware of the risks associated with diisocyanates and this should support safe practice.
