The Medpage door and window sensor is ideal for use in domestic care and care home environments, particularly when working with vulnerable patients who may be prone to wandering (e.g., dementia patients and elderly patients). This contact sensor features a design that is suitable for most doorways, windows, and cabinets. However for certain doors and windows where there is little room around the frame, this alarm may not be suitable.
Please Note: The Velcro dots supplied for mounting will damage wallpaper and paint when removed.
Which Pager Should I Use With This Alarm System?
For the contact sensor to work, you must have a Medpage MPPL Digital Pager (sold separately) to connect to the transmitter. Each of these pagers can have up to eight sensors or transmitters paired with it, and are essential for carers to receive alerts about alarm activation. If you already have Medpage Pager (including older models), you can use it to to connect to this alarm system without needing to purchase a new one.
Can I Use Multiple Alarms At Once?
The Medpage Pager that receives the alerts from this contact sensor alarm is designed to connect to up to eight transmitters. This means that it is possible to create a multi-alarm system, with eight doors, windows, or cabinets being monitored using one pager system.
New-and-Improved Range
Whereas older versions of this door sensor previously had a range of approximately 100m, this new-and-improved version now has a range of 400m. This makes it better suited to using in larger houses, or houses with thicker walls.
