Sellick Manoeuvre
The Erler-Zimmer Airway Simulator offers a highly realistic practice of Sellick Manoeuvre - a manoeuvre most often used to help align the airway structures during endotracheal intubation. Students can apply pressure on the model's cricoid cartilage, which changes the position of the trachea, and then forces the esophagus to close.
Manual Carotid Pulse
Featuring a manual carotid pulse, students are able to feel a realistic pulse from the neck of the model. This pulse check allows students to practice determining the pulse in an unconscious victim, and decide whether or not cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) should be initiated.
