Who Can Use the Fall Savers Infrared Fall Prevention Package?
The Fall Savers Package is designed to sense a fall or unattended wandering in vulnerable patients. We would recommend the Bedside Monitor in situations for patients with:
- Low levels of mobility
- Dementia
- Other health conditions
- A significant risk of injury
How Can the Fall Savers Infrared Package Reduce Injury Risk?
The Infrared Fall Monitor can be mounted on the extension bracket to the patient’s bedside to trigger an alert when a person breaks the infrared beam by moving or passing through the signal.
Where Do I Place the Monitor?
When installed, the Fall Savers Monitor must be aimed across the length of the bed. Please note that the sensing range of the monitor cannot be over 6 metres, so keep it as close to the bed as possible. This can be done through the Extension Bracket which helps extend the monitor.
The swivel bracket that is supplied with the Infrared Bedside Monitor aids in the versatility of the design, meaning that you can fit the monitor in discreet hard to reach parts of the room to ensure that the monitors aren't tampered with. It also means that you can fit the monitor in a wider range of places in the room, with the swivel design fitting most corners.

How Do You Pair the Fall Savers Monitor with a Nurse Call System?

Is the Fall Savers Monitor Compatible with "Aid Call" Alarm Systems?
"Aid Call" branded alarm systems use a different connection system to the standard mono/stereo connection used by Fall Savers systems. In order to connect your Fall Savers system with an Aid Call system, you will need a connective adaptor which can be purchased separately.

Never Lose Power
You can ensure uninterrupted patient monitoring through by powering the monitor with the mains adaptor. This will also reduce the money spent on replacement batteries, while also ensuring that your patient is never at risk because of a loss of battery power.
How Loud Is the Alarm?
The Fall Savers Infrared Motion Detection Monitor is loud enough so that if you are in the next room you will still be able to hear it. You can choose between chime alert tones or beep alert tones, allowing you to select a catered alarm that is better suited to your ears. As the alarm is loud it can be used through the night and you will be able to hear it should your patient leave their bed while you are asleep.
