The Flexicare base sheet and top sheet can be purchased separately if you need to replace individual components, however you can save money on the full Flexicare bed system with this combination pack. The base sheet provides a slippery surface for the top sheet to slide over, so patients can be turned, shifted or helping into an upright position by carers.

How Does the Flexicare Sliding Aid Pack Protect Carers?

The Four-Way Top Sheet can help protect carers from injury during in-bed patient manoeuvres as it eliminates the need for direct lifting. The sheet can be used to pull or turn the patient more easily, and can also be attached to a hoist if extra leverage is required.

Suitable for Use with Lifting Hoists

If a patient must be regularly turned or moved significantly, the handles of the Flexicare top sheet can be attached to a patient lifting hoist to further reduce strain on the carer. By raising one side of the sheet, the hoist can then roll patients slowly onto their side.

These Flexicare sheets are cool and soft and can double as regular bedding so patients can lie on them throughout their treatment. As it is made from breathable, fire-retardant cotton and has soft padding the system provides patients with a cool, cushioned surface to lie on.
