As this sheet has a PU coating, it is particularly ideal for patients with incontinence as it can be quickly wiped clean and disinfected.

Both the base and top sheet of this Flexicare system can be purchased separately if you need replacements, however you can save money on the full Flexicare bed system with this combination pack. The base sheet provides a slippery surface for the top sheet to slide over so patients can be comfortably and safely readjusted. Due to its PU coating, this combination pack is especially suitable for managing patients with incontinence or similar health issues.

How Does the Flexicare Sliding Aid Pack Protect Carers?

The Four-Way Top Sheet can help protect carers from injury during in-bed patient manoeuvres as it eliminates the need for direct lifting. The sheet can be used to pull or turn the patient more easily, and can also be attached to a hoist if extra leverage is required.

Suitable for Use with Lifting Hoists

For more significant repositioning of the patient, the handles of the Flexicare top sheet can be attached to a patient lifting hoist. By raising one side of the sheet, the hoist can then roll patients slowly onto their side so the carer does not have to lift them by hand.

How Comfortable Are the Flexicare Sheets?

The base and top sheet of the Flexicare in-bed system are made to double as standard sheets of bedding, so can be comfortably lain on top of for as long as necessary. The top sheet also has a polyurethane coating which can be easily wiped dry and disinfected if it becomes soiled.
