A tracheostomy is a medical procedure that is usually carried out to remove secretions from the airway and deliver oxygen to the lungs through an opening created at the front of the neck. This allows for a tube to be inserted into the windpipe to aid a patient with things such as breathing.

- Never place the simulator on any printed materials as they can transfer indelible stains
- When not in continuous use, it is recommended that you store the simulator in its box, or cover it with a cloth
