How Does the Medpage MPPL Kit Work?

If the patient gets up from the bed mat, this will send a signal to the pager, which will then provide you with an alert, whilst the voice alarm will project a recorded message to the patient. This way, you can assist them with going to the bathroom or another room, or guide them back to their seat before they fall. This is particularly useful if you look after patients with dementia or similar conditions.

Record Personalised Patient Messages

A unique way of assuring elderly patients or loved ones, the Voice Alert allows you to pre-record a spoken message to be played when movement from the bed is detected. The voice message is entirely of your choosing; a reminder, a request or even spoken in a foreign language. For example, you could say "Don't forget to take your walker", helping your patient to remember their own limitations. You are provided with 15 seconds of recording time, allowing you to create a message that is personal and detailed.  

Provides Reassurance to Vulnerable Individuals

This kit is ideal for people looking after elderly relatives that can be prone to wandering. To make the most out of the system, you could set-up the voice alert to say "Stay where you are, I'll be there to help in a minute" and then whenever the bed alarm is activated, your patient will be reassured while you will be informed, via the pager, that they need assistance.

Delay Feature for Bathroom Visits

The voice alert transmitter features a delay function that can be programmed to send an alert if the bed has been unoccupied for up to 15 minutes. This is great if an individual in your care can go to the bathroom on their own but should not be wandering for too long on their own.

Delivery Expectations

This product is usually delivered by 24 hour courier. For orders that are placed before 2pm Monday to Friday, your order should usually be dispatched the same day for next working day delivery.

Delivery is free for orders over £65 (ex VAT) to UK mainland addresses. For all other UK orders, delivery is only £4.95 (ex VAT).

Delivery Charges

Some larger or heavier orders will be couriered to Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands or UK offshore islands. In these cases, we may need to contact you to arrange for a courier supplement charge, but only if your order is one that requires a courier and you live in Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands or UK offshore islands.

Delivery Estimations

The delivery expectation for medical supplies on our website is specified on each particular product page. Where a delivery expectation is not stated, we will dispatch the goods as quickly as possible, normally within 24 to 48 hours on working days, so that you receive your medical supplies promptly.

How to Claim Your VAT Exemption

VAT exemption can be claimed in two ways – either when placing your or order or claiming back the VAT on a purchase that you have already made.

To remove the VAT from your order when placing your purchase, simply select the option for VAT relief on the Basket page (see below for an example of how this looks).

If you select this checkbox on the basket, there will be extra information you will be required to provide on the checkout to confirm your elligibility.
