S-CAPEPLUS Evacuation Mattress
When evacuating a hospital or care environment in an emergency, immobile patients will require extra support to leave the building. The S-CAPEPLUS Evacuation Mattress enables carers and medical staff to quickly and efficiently protect patients and evacuate them from the building to safety.
Easy to Prepare
Designed for the quick and efficient evacuation of immobile patients, the S-CAPEPLUS can be swiftly deployed for immediate use. It can be removed from the wall cover and secured around the patient by using the side flaps and foot-end section to envelope the patient.
The Evacuation Mattress is held securely together by the heavy-duty hook and loop fixation system. The hand-hold straps can then be used to manoeuvre the patient and mattress together to a safe location, with the length of their body protected by the 7cm thick mattress underneath.
Safe and Hygienic Design
The S-CAPEPLUS is made from a breathable and permeable material. This can be washed in between use to ensure sufficient levels of hygiene, and the anti-bacterial properties will help ensure patient health and safety when in use.
The Trevira CS polyester material is also fire retardant. This will be particularly important if evacuation is required due to fire, and will further provide the patient with a safer mode of mobility.
Practical Storage
As the S-CAPEPLUS can be stored in the wall covering, it can be positioned at a location that is the most practical, such as on the ward or in a corridor that is easily accessible. Once stored away, it provides peace of mind to both patient and carers that emergency transportation has been considered should an evacuation occur.
