How Does the Adolescent Choking Manikin Work?
This Adolescent Manikin Kit comes with two choking objects that are attached via a string necklace and mimic a small hot dog-slice and a hardboiled sweet. This enables students to practice clearing a blocked airway using manoeuvres like abdominal thrusts and back blows. Once a choking object is lodged in the airway, students can decide where to place their hands using the anatomical landmarks for reference. If the correct CPR technique is administered, the manikin will expel the object causing the obstruction.

How Do I Clean This Manikin?
For the clean and hygienic practice of CPR, you can wash the head and torso of the manikin in warm, soapy water before rinsing and leaving to air dry. You should take care not to allow water to enter the internal parts of the foam filled manikin.
