What Are the Benefits of This Ultrasound Doppler?
Unlike many of SonoTrax's Doppler devices, this ultrasound Doppler is designed primarily for use in vascular diagnosis and is supplied with a 4MHz ultrasound probe for this purpose. It is compatible with SonoTrax interchangeable probes and so – with a 3MHz probe – can even be used for fetal heart rate.
Does This Vascular Doppler Have a Visual Display?
The high-quality audio output of this probe eliminates the necessity of a visual display. The simulation blood flow generated by the Doppler Effect can actually be heard by both patient and practitioner.
Can This Doppler Be Used to Measure Fetal Heart Rate?
By attaching an interchangeable 3MHz ultrasound probe to this Doppler it is possible to measure fetal heart rate. As an audio Doppler the output produced with a 3MHz probe will be very similar to the SonoTrax Lite Fetal Doppler.

How Does an Ultrasound Doppler Work?
Ultrasound Dopplers measure blood flow by bouncing high-frequency ultrasound off of red blood cells. The Doppler Effect allows the device to produce an audio simulation of pulse rate, and to carry out other diagnostics. This is a non-invasive solution to performing these diagnostic tests.
