TumbleCare Floor Pressure Mat Bed Exit Alarm with Portable Carer Alarm
If a patient is in your care, monitoring bed falls and exits is a large portion of preventing harm or injury. With the TumbleCare Floor Pressure Mat Bed Exit Alarm with Portable Carer Alarm, carers are alerted when pressure is applied to the sensor mat, indicating the individual has exited their bed or approached a doorway, depending where the mat is placed. With a 100 metre transmission range and 96dB audio alarm, you can rest assured your patients are in the best care.

How Does This System Work?
This alert system consists of three main components: the pressure mat, the alarm transmitter and the alarm station. The sensor mat can be placed on the floor beside a bed, and when pressure is applied to it, the connected alarm transmitter sends a wireless signal to the alarm station. The alarm station then produces a visual and tonal alert which informs careers of a bed exit.
Is This System Suitable for Care Homes?
This system is certainly suitable for domestic use, however it can be particularly helpful in care homes, or any environment with multiple patients. As up to five patients can be monitored from a single location, it can help free up a care home's resources.
How Will the Alarm Station Alert Me of a Fall?
When a bed exit occurs, the carer station will respond by producing a tonal alarm sound and a visual alert. The visual alert consists of brightly coloured flashing LED lights which project on the ceiling to ensure the carer is able to spot it.
Can the Alarm Station Tell Me Where the Fall Has Occurred?
A single alarm station can be paired with up to five sensors, and matches each device to a colour. The colour is then projected in the form of a light, allowing you to quickly identify the source of a bed exit.
Is the Sensor Mat Non-Slip?
The sensor mat is not only durable, but is made of a special non-slip material. This helps protect the health and safety of patients, even if it is used on smooth floors or carpets.
How Long Does the Alarm Last?
The alarm can be either set to a timed or latched setting. The timed setting will only last 30 seconds, while the latched setting will continue until the alarm has been reset. You may prefer to use the latched alarm if your alarm station is paired to multiple transmitters, so you won't miss an alert even if two pressure mats are triggered at the same time.
How Loud Is the Alarm?
The alarm has three tone levels with a maximum volume of 96dB. This is about as loud as the sound of a motorcycle at 25 feet, so you can be sure you'll hear the alert even when you aren't directly beside the alarm station.
