How Does the Domus 1 Bubble Mattress Work?
The Domus 1 is a mattress overlay ideal for use with a regular mattress. When used alongside the pump, it delivers effective alternating air pressure therapy for low-risk patients, helping to prevent and treat early-stage pressure ulcers.
The pump alternates inflation and deflation across air cells, helping to reduce or increase pressure in areas of the mattress in regular cycles. Pressure levels can be set to suit specific user's needs by adjusting the weight of the patient on the pump. This process ensures that pressure is not concentrated in one area of the patient's body for maximum comfort and prevention of pressure sore development.

Who Can Use the Pressure Relief Pad?
This Pressure Relief Pad is particularly useful as a transitional alternating air therapy unit, as it is placed over an existing mattress to provide periodic pressure relief without needing to relocate the patient. It is ideal for short-term treatment for patients who are at a low-risk of developing pressure sores, and perfect for use in homecare environments.
What Features Are Included On the Pump?
The Bubble Mattress Relief system is a simplistic treatment option. On the pump you'll find a power switch, and a pressure adjustment knob, which enables you to tailor the treatment to the patient's weight. Other features of the pump include a rear air hose port to connect to the mattress, hangers for securing the unit to the bed frame, and a power cord.
