​Please note: This kit is designed to work with the Multy Convertible Hybrid Hoist, and will not function with any other hoist or by itself as a lifting aid. You cannot purchase this hoist separately, it must be purchased as a bundle with the Convertible Hybrid Hoist.

What Is This Active to Universal Conversion Kit For?

Patient hoists are effective lifting aids designed for safe transfers and repositioning of patients with reduced or impaired mobility. An active patient lift is generally used for help moving between seated and standing positions, and does require some physical effort from the patient. Universal hoists assist with patient transfers for those whose mobility is severely impacted, and does not require any effort from the patient.

The Active to Universal Conversion Kit transforms the Wellell SLK Multy Active Hoist into a universal hoist that can assist with transfers, lifting patients from as low as ground level. 

Who Can Use This Hoist Conversion Kit?

This Hoist Conversion Kit is designed to work with the Wellell SLK Multy Active Hoist (sold separately), which can be used in both residential and clinical care environments. In conjunction with the hoist, this kit can assist with transferring and repositioning patients with limited or impaired mobility up to 210cm in height and 185kg in weight.

Once you have converted this lift using the kit, it will no longer be suitable for use as an active lift until converted back.

Which Active Lift Can I Convert With This Kit?

This kit is designed to work with the Wellell SLK Multy Convertible Hybrid Active Patient Hoist. You cannot use this unit without this active lift. To convert the hoist, follow these instructions:

1. Once you have both the lift and kit you can begin with the tool-free disassembly of the active hoist. Start by remove the floorboard, the shin pad, and the active lifting arm
2. Replace the active lifting arm with the universal lifting arm in the conversion kit
3. Connect the spreader bar to the lifting arm
