Velcro Closure for Greater Ease and Comfort

A Velcro closure forms part of the design of the YDA MAC 3 Leather Shoes. Many diabetic shoes feature this type of closure for easier application and removal of the shoes, saving the time and hassle of doing up laces in lace-up shoes. Additionally a Velcro strap allows for adjustability of the shoes, helping to accommodate changes in swelling.

How Do the YDA Shoes Provide Support?

As well as being extra-wide and extra deep to accommodate swollen feet, the shoes feature a semi-rigid sole that redistributes loads for pressure relief. Additionally the shoes feature strong fibreglass support in the insole to give extra support and stability to the foot (rocker sole), a springboard system that ensures less friction when worn, and a seam-free inner lining to prevent the formation of ulcers in diabetics.
