Zoll Plus AED Defibrillator Lay Rescuer
When a cardiac arrest occurs, the fact is that only half of the victims will need a shock; the other half require cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The Zoll Plus AED Defibrillator Lay Rescuer ensures infrequent rescuers respond appropriately whilst resuscitating a victim of sudden cardiac arrest by coaching them quickly and simply through every important step of the rescue process.

How Does the Lay Rescuer Help with CPR?
With its one-piece electrode that can measure the rate and depth of chest compressions during CPR, the Zoll AED Plus Defibrillator Lay Rescuer guides the rescuer through the CPR process. It immediately tells rescuers how well compressions are being performed and provides visual and audible prompts that deliver instantaneous feedback, only the AED Plus ensures rescuers can perform the most effective CPR.
If a rescuer fails to deliver compressions at an adequate depth, an audible and visual prompt to "Push Harder" will be initiated. Once proper depth is reached, it is reinforced with a "Good Compressions" message. The defibrillator also displays depth numerically making it ideal.
Can the Lay Rescuer Be Used On Children?
The Zoll AED Plus can defibrillate children up to eight years of age, using the Pedi-Padz II electrodes (not included). When the electrodes are connected, the AED Plus recognises that a paediatric rescue is in progress. With ECG analysis developed specifically for a paediatric heart rate, coupled with appropriate defibrillation energy levels, the AED Plus can handle both adult and paediatric rescues.
