How Does It Work?
The Chair-Alert Sensor Pad works by activating an alert wirelessly on the Fall Prevention Monitor as soon as the patient gets out of the chair and their weight moves off the sensor pad. To ensure effectiveness, the sensor pad needs to be connected to the Wireless Chair and Bed Pad Transmitter and the monitor.
Where Should I Place the Sensor Pad?
The Fall Savers Chair-Alert Sensor Pad can be placed on the chair's cushion. It is extremely thin and will not affect the the patient's comfort. To ensure accurate results, it needs to be completely under the patient so that it can accurately activate the monitor or nurse call system when the patient leaves the chair, allowing carers to quickly respond in order to ascertain the patient's safety.
Does the Fall Savers Chair Sensor Pad Require Wires?
No, the Chair-Alert Sensor Pad can be used with the Wireless Chair and Bed Pad Transmitter and does not require a cabled connection to the monitor. This also reduces the danger of tripping through trailing cables.
Is it Suitable for All Patients?
