For a step-by-step guide on how to prepare, apply and use your Shoulder Cryo/Cuff, please see below:
Step One: Prepare the Cooler
Fill the cooler to the line with water, add ice and lay the insulation disk on top. Connect the blue tube to the cooler and close the lid. Allow up to five minutes for the water to cool, shaking the cooler occasionally.
Step Two: Apply the Cuff
To apply the cuff, attach the main straps around the torso and secure. (See figure 1). Use assistance if needed.
Next, secure the underarm strap before doing the same with the front and back elastic straps. (See figures 2 and 3).
Step Three: Fill the Cuff
For this step, you will need your cooler. Start by connecting the blue tube to the cuff. Open the cooler air vent located on the lid and lift the cooler so its base is level with the top of the cuff. (See figure 4). Hold the cooler in this position for approximately one minute, or until the cuff is full. Close cooler air vent and disconnect the cooler from the cuff using the metal tab to use freely.
Step Four: Rechill Water
Reconnect the blue tube to the cuff and raise the cuff above the level of the cooler. Wait for the cuff to drain of water and allow one to two minutes for the water to rechill. Once this time has passed, raise the cooler above the cuff and start the refilling process again.
