Basic Patient Lifting Sling
The Basic Patient Lifting Sling is designed for use in most common lifting situations, such as sitting transfers between bed and wheelchair. With full support from the legs to the top of the shoulders, this standard model of sling has been created to lift patients who have poor torso stability but good neck control.

The Basic Lifting Sling is a functional and comfortable lifting tool designed for common seated transfers from bed to wheelchair, chair to wheelchair, or wheelchair to toilet. The design makes it quick and easy for the carer to apply in preparation for a transfer or a lift.
The sling features separated leg sections, and has a high back, supporting the patient from the legs and tailbone, up to the top of their shoulder, giving them all full sense of security as they are being lifted. The durable polyester material is low-friction for easy manouevring and withstands high laundry temperatures.
Which Hoists Can I Use the Sling With?
This sling is designed with loop fixings. It is designed for easy and secure attachment to all hoists with loop fixing compatibility.
Sizing of the Basic Patient Sling
The Basic Sling is available in a choice of seven different sizes, and is adaptable to be used in both 2 and 4-point suspension. It is essential to ensure that the width of the Sling Bar is appropriate for the sling size and the patient’s status and capacity. Please refer to the table below for more information about the measurements of each sling and the weight load that has been recommended each size should carry.

Please note that though the recommended weight is a guideline, the sling should not exceed a load of 300kg.
