Boxia Spare Drop Foot AFO Brace Elastic Tension Strap
The Boxia Spare Drop Foot AFO Brace Elastic Tension Strap has been designed as a spare part for the Boxia Drop Foot Supportive Wrap-Around Brace. Whether the original strap is lost or damaged, you can easily replace it and continue to use your brace to alleviate the symptoms of drop foot and a range of other conditions.

Please Note: This product includes a spare elastic tension strap only. To use it with the Boxia Drop Foot Wrap-Around Brace, you'll need to purchase this separately.
What Sizes Are Available?
The Spare Elastic Tension Strap is available in three sizes to suit your Boxia Wrap-Around Brace. These are extra small (16cm length), medium (18.2cm length) and large (21cm length).
To ensure you find the right sized strap, please match it up to the size of your brace. If you don't know what size your brace is, you can use the table below to establish which size of brace you already have based on your measurements.You can then select the size you want from the menu at the top of the page.

What Colours Are Available?
The spare elastic strap is available in a beige or black colour to suit your preferences and the colour of your drop foot brace. You can select the colour you want from the menu at the top of the page.
How Do You Apply the Spare Elastic Strap?
The Boxia Replacement Elastic Strap is easy to apply for quick access to support. Here's a full breakdown of how to attach it to the Boxia Wrap-Around Brace and how to apply this to your foot.
Method 1: When Wearing Shoes
- Open your shoelaces and put the plate-hook attachment between the tongue and shoelaces. Ensure the hook is pointing in the direction of traction
- Attach the ankle strap above the supramalleolar, matching the gel pad with your Achilles tendon
- Enter the S-shaped hook at the front of the ankle. Then, set the hook and pull the ends to obtain the required traction

Please Note: The tension straps are not needed for this method
Method 2: When Wearing Trainers
- Hook the two tension straps in the holes of your shoe laces
- Attach the ankle straps above the supramalleolar, matching the gel pad with your Achilles tendon
- Enter the S-shaped hook at the front of the ankle
- Hook the S-shaped hook into the tension strap and pull the end to obtain the desired traction
Please Note: The plate hook is not needed for this method.
Method 3: When Shoeless
- Attach the strap above the supramalleolar and match the gel pad to your Achilles tendon
- Set the banding (left or right) in the middle of the foot and the Velcro closures on the instep area
- Ensure the locking hook is pointing in the right direction
- Enter the S-shaped hook at the front of the ankle
- Set the hook and pull the ends, fixing it to obtain the required tension
Please Note: For this method, you will also need the Shoeless Attachment. This can be purchased separately.
Disclaimer
If you are suffering from any discomfort while wearing the brace, you should remove it to allow the ankle to stretch. This should help to reduce any pain that can be caused by using the support.
