Cromptons Lilac Bariatric Patient-Specific Disposable Tubular Slide Sheets (10-Pack)

It's important to regularly reposition bariatric patients due to their higher risk of developing bed sores. The Cromptons Lilac Bariatric Patient-Specific Disposable Tubular Slide Sheets (10-Pack) are designed with a special low-friction material sewn into a continuous tube, making them ideal for turning and positioning bariatric patients.

What's Included?

  • 10 x Tubular Slide Sheets (200 x 140cm)

Key Features

  • Tubular slide sheets suitable for movement of bariatric patients
  • Disposable use allows for reduced risk of patient irritation
  • Made of low-friction material to enable easy patient turning
  • Can be wiped clean, but not intended for laundering
  • Double-sewn, low-profile seam reduces the risk of tissue viability issues
  • Web hanging loop to allow the tube to be kept at the patient's bedside
  • The pack allows for cost-effective care

Who Can Use the Cromptons Tubular Slide Sheets?

The Cromptons Tubular Slide Sheets are specially designed to be used with hospital patients with limited mobility. The Slide Sheets enable safer patient handling and movement while helping to reduce the risk of bed-related injuries such as pressure sores. They are designed to be used with a single patient in the following applications and industries:

  • Care groups
  • Emergency care
  • NHS
  • Private ambulances
  • Care homes
  • Residential care
  • Disability care
  • Bariatric care

What Is the Benefit of a Tubular Sheet?

By sewing the material into a continuous tube, the fabric can be rolled throughout the turning process to reduce stress on both the carer and patient. The double-sewn, low-profile seam reduces the risk of potential tissues viability issues, while adding strength and durability to the sheet.

Specially-Designed Transtex Fabric

The Cromptons Tubular Slide Sheets are specially designed using a lightweight, silicone-based material called Transtex. This fabric provides a smooth, low-friction surface layer that enables better mobility when it comes to moving or turning a patient while they are in bed.

Bulk Pack for Busy Care Environments

To ensure your hospital or care environment runs smoothly, this pack contains 10 slide sheets. This ensures your staff always have new new sheets on hand once a patient has been discharged, and patients always have access to a high standard of care.

What Size Are the Sheets?

The Cromptons Tubular Slide Sheets are designed for bariatric patients, and measure 200 x 140cm.

Are The Sheets Washable?

No, these sheets are intended for use with one patient and are not washable in a machine. However, if the sheets become lightly soiled, they can be wiped clean using a diluted chlorine-based solution or sterilisation fluid.

How Can I Effectively Store The Bed Sheet for Each Patient?

You can store the bed sheet using the Cromptons Slide Sheet Storage Bags for Care Homes, designed with space for you to add patient details to the front of the bag, and a drawstring for easy opening and closing.

What Does The Lilac Colour Mean?

The colour of the sheets serves more than just an aesthetic purpose. The lilac colour of these sheets means they are designed for bariatric patients. The Cromptons collection of slide sheets comes in a variety of different colours:

  • Red: for single patient use. This means they can be re-used by a single person over a couple of months, but can't be laundered.
  • Blue: reusable for multiple patients. The blue sheets are designed to last over the course of a couple of years, and the are designed to be washable.
  • Lilac: for bariatric patients. Available in larger sizes and specifically designed for use with bariatric patients. These sheets could be for single or multi-use, check listings for more details.
