Specially Designed Fabric
These Cromptons Tubular Slide Sheets are specially designed using a lightweight, silicone-based material called Transtex. This fabric provides a smooth, low-friction surface that enables better mobility when it comes to patient manoeuvres like moving or turning.

How Do I Use the Sheets?
When boosting or turning a patient who is in bed, it is vital that you follow the correct procedures in order to ensure their safety and comfort.
Step One: Apply the Slide Sheet
Place the slide sheet under the patient and unroll it towards the bottom of the bed.
The following step depends on your decided position:
Step Two: Move the Patient Up the Bed
With one person on each side of the bed, slide the top layer of the sheet along the bottom layer towards the top of the bed.
Step Two: Move the Patient Down the Bed
With one person on either side of the bed, slide the top layer of the sheet along the bottom layer, towards the foot of the bed.
Step Three: Remove the Slide Sheet
Remove the slide sheet from underneath the patient by pulling it through the tube.
Turning a Patient Using the Tubular Slide Sheet:
Step One: Apply the Sheet
Position the slide sheet under the patient's head and unroll until the sheet is fully underneath the patient.
Step Two: Turn the Patient
Depending on which direction you need to turn the patient, take either the top or bottom of the sheet and pull gently.
Step Three: Remove the Sheet
Remove the slide sheet from the corner by pulling it through the tube.

What Does The Red Colour Mean?
The colour of the sheets serves more than just an aesthetic purpose. The red colour of these sheets means they are for single patient use. The Cromptons collection of slide sheets comes in a variety of different colours:
- Red: for single patient use. This means they can be re-used by a single person over a couple of months, but can't be laundered.
- Blue: reusable for multiple patients. The blue sheets are designed to last over the course of a couple of years, and the are designed to be washable.
- Lilac: for bariatric patients. Available in larger sizes and specifically designed for use with bariatric patients. These sheets could be for single or multi-use, check listings for more details.
Can I Re-use These Tubular Slide Sheets?

Please note that this product is not intended for patient lifting. All patient manoeuvres should be carried out without lifting while using this product.
