What is the Erler-Zimmer 'Chester' Chest Difficult Accessing Insert (R18803A)?
The 'Chester' Chest Difficult Accessing Insert is an insert for the 'Chester' Chest Manikin which creates the feel of a 'wandering' or 'floating' port when placed in the recessed area of the manikin, and when accessing the implanted port through the overlying outer tissue flap. This insert should be located in the upper left-hand corner of the 'Chester' Chest manikin.
How Do I Use the 'Chester' Chest Difficult Accessing Insert?
The Difficult Accessing Insert (R18803A) should be placed in the upper left-hand corner of the manikin. For best results in simulating a wondering or floating port place an amount of K-Y or other lubricating jelly under and on top of the port. Place the port in the center of the depressed area and reattach the chest tissue flap, the port will then move around once palpated.
