Who Can Use the Physiopack Reusable Packs?
The Physiopack Hot and Cold Pack is ideal for clinics and physical rehabilitation centres. It can offer patients soothing pain relief with either heat or cold therapy as follows:
- Heat Therapy: This is ideal for encouraging increased blood flow and improving the elasticity of collagen fibres. This can help to reduce pain, while also relieving symptoms caused by chronic conditions such as muscle hypertonicity and rheumatoid arthritis.
- Cold Therapy: Injuries affecting the muscles, tendons, and ligaments can be treated with cold therapy to help to reduce swelling. This in turn reduces the risk of an oedema or the development of muscle stiffness.

What Size Is the Physiopack?
Each Physiopack Hot and Cold Pack measures 13cm x 30cm and weighs 400g. This size is ideal for versatile use, allowing you to apply hot or cold therapy to affected limbs such as the ankle, arm, shoulder, foot, or leg.
How Do I Prepare the Physiopack Hot and Cold Pack?
The Physiopack Hot and Cold Pack can either be freezed in advance in the freezer, or heated in the microwave shortly before use. If microwaving the gel-filled Physiopack for heat therapy, please note that it must not be heated to temperatures over 100°C.
How Do I Use the Physiopack Reusable Pack?
Once the Physiopack is at the required temperature, it can be applied to the affected area for around 20 minutes. A towel must be placed between the pack and the patient's skin to avoid discomfort or skin irritation.
For How Long Can the Physiopack Be Applied?
It is recommended that the Physiopack is applied to the affected area for around 20 minutes. If further treatment is required, then another pack can be applied after a rest.
What Are the Physiopacks Made From?
Each Physiopack features a gel insert that is heated or cooled as required. It is encased in a soft plastic bag for comfort.
Can I Reuse the Hot and Cold Pack?
Yes, the Physiopack is reusable. Please note that it is not advised to use the same Physiopack for multiple patients, as this could increase the risk of spreading infections. However, using the same pack on the same patient is fine.
