The SIBA Standard Healthcare Elasticated Base Sheet and Full Four-Way Top Sheet Combination Pack includes a base sheet and top sheet for moving patients in bed. The base sheet lies on top of the mattress and can be fastened down using its elasticated straps. The top sheet can be moved over the slippery surface of the base sheet so patients can be moved from side to side or up and down and turned on the bed.

Both top and bottom components of this sliding aid system are available separately if you need replacements, and the SIBA base sheet can be bought and used on its own by patients who are able to move on their own in bed, but need a little extra support from their bedding. 

Do These Sliding Aids Enable Movement In All Directions?

The top draw sheet of this sliding aid enables movement in four different directions, as indicated by its checkmarks. This means it can move patients from side to side or up and down along the bed and can also be used to turn or swivel them. It should properly support the entire body of most adult patients (those 6.5ft or below).

Will the SIBA Base Sheet Fit My Patient's Bed?

The SIBA Base sheet is large enough to cover most standard healthcare beds, and is designed to lie on top of the mattress secured by its elasticated straps so it can be easily applied and removed whenever necessary. Markers on the slide sheet indicate which way up it should be placed on the mattress and a central marker shows where it should be positioned on the bed
