What Is the Function of This Convertible Patient Lifting Aid?

Active Lifting Aid Unit
An active patient lift is generally used for help moving between seated and standing positions, and does require some physical effort from the patient. The available sling attachment, sold separately, creates a seat for patients to use as they are gently lifted into a standing position.
Passive Lifting Aid Conversion Kit
The Active to Universal Conversion Kit transforms the active hoist into a universal model. Universal hoists assist with patient transfers for those whose mobility is severely impacted, and does not require effort on behalf of the patient for lifting or repositioning procedures.
Who Is the Multy Patient Hoist For?
This lifting aid is ideal for use in both residential and clinical care environments, and comes complete with four ball-bearing swivel castors for easy transportation of patients.
Suitable uses of this lifting aid include assisting patients up to 210cm in height and 185kg in weight with reduced mobility from seated to standing positions, or for complete repositioning and transportation of impaired mobility patients.
How Is This Unit Converted From An Active Lift Into a Passive Lift?
To convert the hoist, follow these instructions:
- Once you have both the conversion kit and the active lift, you can begin with the tool-free disassembly of the hoist. Start by removing the floorboard, the shin pad, and the active lifting arm.
- Replace the active lifting arm with the universal lifting arm provided in the conversion kit.
- Connect the spreader bar to the lifting arm.
